The CCDO Demolition And Refurbishment Operative card qualifies individuals in the demolition of non-load bearing structures and the removal of fixtures and fittings as well as using mechanical hand tools. The red card is valid for 3 years and is non-renewable. Red cardholders must complete NVQ Level 2 within the 3-year time frame to convert the card to a fully qualified Blue Demolition Refurbishment Operative card.

The demolition of non-load bearing structures.

Blue Demolition and Refurbishment



Must have held a Demolition Labourer card and have 2 years Demolition Industry experience. To obtain a Demolition Labourers Level 1 card, you must meet all the pre-requisites for that card and complete the 1-day course with Level 1 test pass.

HSE Test

Current Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test Pass.

Previous Asbestos Trainings

You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate (as a minimum). Other higher level Asbestos Training will be accepted. You can only obtain your Asbestos Awareness Certificate through NDTG, UKATA, ARCA, or ACAD (not E-Learning).


Achieved Level 2 Demolition Operative NVQ. There are 4 mandatory units: VR 641v2 VR642v1 VR643v1 VR154v3 and 1 optional unit you must pick out of the 4 choices: VR155v3 VR156v3 VR157v3 VR158v3.
